FramePilot

Terms of Use

Last updated: Effective:

These terms are a plain-English agreement between you and RoxLab (“we”, “us”) for the FramePilot app for Android and this website. Please read them before using FramePilot.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, installing or using FramePilot, or by using this website, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use them.

2. Eligibility

You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live, or have the permission of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms for you, and you must be allowed to use Google Play and your Android device. Google Play's own age and purchase rules also apply.

3. What FramePilot is

FramePilot is an Android utility for gamers. It shows information that Android makes available on your device (such as battery, thermal status, system memory and screen refresh rate), lists and launches your installed games, shows a floating HUD, and records sessions that you start and stop yourself. It has no account system and works on your device without a server.

FramePilot does not increase frame rate, remove lag, cool your device, clean memory or unlock hardware features, and it does not display FPS. Descriptions of the app are not promises of performance.

4. Google Play distribution and purchase

FramePilot is distributed through Google Play. Pricing, payment, taxes, receipts and refunds are handled by Google Play and are governed by Google's terms. The app is intended as a one-time purchase with no subscription and no ads; the price and availability shown on Google Play at the time of purchase apply and may differ by country. Nothing in these terms limits any refund right you have under Google Play's policies or under the law. See Google's refund information (opens in a new tab).

5. Licence to use the app

Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use FramePilot on Android devices that you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. Google Play's terms may grant additional usage rights.

6. Intellectual property

FramePilot, its name, logo, design and content belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. The app also includes open-source components that are licensed under their own terms; see Settings → Open-source licenses in the app. Other companies' names and games mentioned or shown in the app belong to their owners; FramePilot is not affiliated with, endorsed by or certified by Google, Android, any device manufacturer or any game publisher.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use FramePilot to:

  • break the law or the terms of games or services you use (for example, to cheat, bypass anti-cheat systems or interfere with other players or apps);
  • access, modify or interfere with another app's files, memory or processes (FramePilot does not do this and must not be used to attempt it);
  • misrepresent what the app does, or present its readings as certified measurements;
  • copy, resell, rent or distribute the app outside Google Play.

8. Reverse engineering

Except where applicable law expressly allows it despite this restriction, you may not decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer the app, or remove notices from it.

9. Your device, permissions and responsibility

You decide whether to grant optional permissions such as “Display over other apps” and notifications, and you can revoke them in Android settings. You are responsible for your device, its settings, backups and the apps you run. A floating HUD can cover parts of a screen: place it where it does not hide controls you need, and do not interact with your device in ways that are unsafe, for example while driving.

10. Compatibility and Android limitations

FramePilot requires Android 8.0 or later. What it can show, and whether the overlay appears, depends on your Android version, your device manufacturer's changes, battery-saving features and other apps. For example, Android thermal status requires Android 10 or later, some devices do not report battery temperature, and some apps or system screens block overlays. A reading that is unavailable on your device is shown as unavailable, and we do not estimate it. Android and manufacturers may change behavior in updates without notice.

11. Third-party services and links

Google Play, Android, your manufacturer's software and the games you launch are provided by others under their own terms, and we are not responsible for them. Links on this website to other sites are for your convenience; we do not control and are not responsible for their content.

12. Updates and feature changes

We may update the app and website, and change, add or remove features, for example to keep up with new Android versions or to fix problems. Updates are delivered through Google Play, and you may need to install them to keep using the app.

13. Availability and discontinuation

We do not promise that the app or website will always be available or error-free. We may stop distributing or supporting the app. If we do, copies you already installed will continue to run on your device unless Android or Google Play prevents it.

14. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FramePilot and this website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that readings are complete or accurate for your device, that the HUD will work with every game or device, or that the app will improve performance, battery life or temperature, or prevent any damage or loss.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, game progress or accounts arising from your use of FramePilot. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it through Google Play. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any right you have as a consumer.

16. Your responsibility for misuse

If you use FramePilot in breach of section 7 and a third party makes a claim against us because of it, you agree to be responsible for that breach to the extent permitted by law. This does not apply to consumers where the law does not allow it.

17. Termination

You can stop using FramePilot at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your licence if you materially breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability) continue to apply.

18. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by VietNam. Disputes are subject to the courts determined under that law, except that where you are a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you may bring claims in the courts that those laws give you.

19. Consumer rights

If you are a consumer, you may have statutory rights (such as for goods or digital content that is faulty or not as described) that cannot be waived by contract. These terms do not affect those rights or any refund right under Google Play's policies.

20. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The new version will be posted here with a new date; for material changes we will also note them in the app's Google Play release notes. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms, except where the law requires your consent.
